Well, we did it again! On June 3, 2006, we teamed up with former Husker and NFL players to host a golf scramble to raise money for the children at Discovery for Youth. Words cannot express how excited we were to have this year's group of celebrities at our outing. Their participation and help was greatly appreciated. Former Huskers – Brian Washington, Frank Solich, Kyle Larson, Broderick Thomas, Gerry Gdowski, and Keven Lightner along with former Tampa Bay Storm standout – Richard Carey.

This time, the outing was held at the Bel-Wood Country Club. Over 60 golfers were in attendance for this year's outing. The weather was perfect, the course was beautiful, and everyone had a great time. Thanks to some hard-working volunteers the event was well organized. Not only was the course fun and challenging, there were some great contests at some of the holes, including a hole-in-one prize of $25,000. A great day was had by all.

During this event, we also had a silent auction where people could bid on authentic Husker and Bengal merchandise autographed by the players. Some of the items included full-size Husker helmets, an autographed picture of Kyle Larson, autographed footballs, two pairs of tickets to the Texas/NU game, and a 1994 National Championship putter donated by Frank Solich. |

This was a hit with everyone.
