Husker Fans!
Can't believe year 1 in the Big Ten is over for the Huskers already! After calling several national sports talk shows on
XM Channel 91 over the last week, I solicited a "grade" for the Huskers first season in the Big Ten. Talked to Chris
Childers, Mike Leach, Eddie George, and Braden Gall and overall I would say the grade averaged out to a B-. So room
for improvement but certainly not anywhere close to the "callahan years". Thanks for all your support at the watch
parties this year. For the 12 games aired at Chammps we have over 600 fans attend the watch parties! We had 45
people attend "blackshirt" Friday for the great victory against Iowa! Below are the winners of the contests:
* 1st half Pick a Square: Jill Cohen $25 Champps Gift Certificate
* 2nd half pick a square: someone with initials KP. (forgot to write down the name) $50 Champps Gift Certificate
* Closest score : Jay Porter picked 21-7, won Nebraska memorabilia
* Halftime Raffle : Jeff Porter won $100 Visa Gift Card
* End of game raffle : Brad Barker and Alan Romsdal won $20 Champps Gift Cards
In addition, at halftime we awarded a $50 Target gift card to each of the two Champps servers' (Brigham and Kyle) who
have done an outstanding job all year at all 12 watch parties! Even though Brigham (Ohio State fan) and Kyle
(Michigan fan) were rival Big Ten conference fans they always treated the Husker fans great!
Also, want to thank Champps for providing the dedicated room at no charge and for providing the weekly "pick a
square" gift certificates @ $75 each week! We will definitely have one more watch party for the Bowl Game. More to
come on dates and times next week when the Bowl selections are complete.

Some of you have asked if we are doing anything as a group for other sports like Basketball or volleyball. As of now
nothing is planned, however, if there is enough interest, please let me or Dan know and we can determine if a watch
party could be arranged!
